Lincoln Park man wins $10,000

LANSING, May 17, 2006 – William Preston from Lincoln Park matched four white balls and the gold ball in the May 12 Mega Millions drawing to win a $10,000 prize.

The lucky 54-year-old regular Lottery player learned of his good fortune from the newspaper.  He hid the easy pick ticket in a coffee pot before cashing it in at one of the Lottery’s regional offices.  He plans to pay bills and take a trip up north with his prize money.

The lucky man purchased the winning ticket at Freeway Liquor, 2568 Dix Hwy., in Lincoln Park
