Fostoria woman "Super" lucky

LANSING, May 10, 2006 – A lucky Fostoria woman couldn’t believe her luck when she scratched the top prize of $300,000 on a Super Red Hot Cashword Instant ticket.

The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, has played the Lottery’s Instant games for years.  Her largest previous prize was $1,000.  She plans to save her prize money.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Fostoria Grocery II, 9294 Fostoria Rd., in Fostoria.

Super Red Hot Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 10,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
