LANSING, April 25, 2006- Sherry Jempty of Otsego is a very lucky lady!  She won $25,000 playing Club Keno at work on March 31!

Jempty, who has been playing Club Keno for about a year and a half, said she was in disbelief when her numbers came up on the screen.  She locked her winning ticket in a safe in her basement for safe keeping.

The lucky winner plans to use the money to go on vacation and invest.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Windjammer Lounge, 132 E. Allegan, in Otsego.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
