Jenison Man Wins Big With Lottery's New WINFALL Game!

LANSING, February 6, 2003 – A lucky Jenison man is rolling in dough after matching five of six numbers in the Michigan Lottery’s WINFALL drawing on Saturday, January 25 to win a $24,609 prize! The winning numbers for that drawing were: 3, 8, 17, 20, 37 and 39.

In total for the January 25, 2003 WINFALL drawing, there were 24 lucky winners who will each receive $24,609 for matching five numbers; 1,137 winners who will each receive $1,090 for matching four numbers; and 21,150 winners who will each receive $53 for matching three numbers.

The winner, who requested anonymity, purchased the winning ticket at Remembrance 76 MobilMart, 3434 Remembrance Road NW, in Grand Rapids.

“I checked the winning numbers on the Michigan Lottery’s Web site (www.michigan.gov/lottery),” said the 56-year-old winner. “I was very happy to learn I had won such a large prize!”

The winner, who works at Diesel Tech and enjoys spending his free time working on home improvement projects, said he kept the winning ticket in his car prior to turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Wyoming. The lucky man plans to save his winnings for the future.

WINFALL drawings are held twice a week – Wednesday and Saturday – at 7:29 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,200 Lottery retailers statewide.

Since it was created in 1972, the Michigan Lottery has returned over $11 billion to the state School Aid Fund, which supports K-12 public education in the state of Michigan.
