LANSING, November 15, 2002 – Susanne Diaz-Garcia of Covert went crazy with excitement upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Crazy 8s Bingo" instant ticket to reveal an $8,000 prize!

Diaz-Garcia, a self-employed day care operator, purchased the winning ticket at Speedway #6288, 29 W. Monroe St., in Bangor.

"I picked up a winning number report from a local Lottery retailer," said Diaz-Garcia. "I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that I had won. I asked the store clerk to verify the winning numbers and when she told me that I had won, I started jumping and screaming with delight!"

The lucky 31-year-old lady said she went directly to the Lottery’s regional office in Wyoming to turn in her ticket upon learning she had won. Diaz-Garcia said she does not yet have any special plans for her winnings.

"Crazy 8s Bingo" is one of many Michigan Lottery Instant Games available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
