LANSING, November 14, 2002 – – Katie Casciano of Clio couldn’t believe her eyes upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Crazy 8s Bingo" instant ticket to reveal an $8,000 prize!

Casciano, a retiree, purchased the winning ticket at Clio Food Mart, 425 W. Vienna St., in Clio.

"I picked up a winning number report from a local Lottery retailer," said Casciano. "When I saw the numbers on my ticket matched the winning numbers, I was stunned. I had my husband, Ronald, double- check the ticket to verify that I had actually won the $8,000 prize!"

Casciano, who enjoys bowling, crocheting and cooking in her free time, said she kept the winning ticket locked in a box prior to turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Bridgeport. Casciano said she plans to share her winnings with her children and grandchildren.

"Crazy 8s Bingo" is one of many Michigan Lottery instant games available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
