LANSING, November 19, 2002 – Angela Rollins of Nashville received a great early holiday gift this year upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Wintertime Wishes" instant ticket to reveal a $500,000 top prize.

Rollins, a 19-year-old store clerk, purchased the winning ticket at Nashville Shell #4700, 133 S. Main St., in Nashville.

"I didn’t realize at first that I had a winning ticket," said Rollins. "I asked the store clerk to check the ticket for me and she told me I had won one of the $500,000 top prizes. I was so stunned that I just stood there and stared at the clerk in disbelief. I am still in shock!"

Rollins, who enjoys assisting the local high school color guard in her free time, kept the ticket locked in a safe deposit box prior to turning it in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing. She said she plans to share part of her winnings with her parents and use the rest to buy a new car and invest for the future.

"Wintertime Wishes" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
