Three Lucky Winners Split July 10 Michigan Rolldown Jackpot–Each Collects $5,091!

LANSING, August 16, 2002 – Three lucky Michigan residents, from Macomb, Washington and Shelby Township, each matched all five numbers in the July 10 Michigan Rolldown drawing to split the jackpot, collecting $5,091 each, before taxes! The winning numbers for that day’s drawing were: 6, 12, 19, 20 and 24.

The total jackpot prize pool for the July 10 Michigan Rolldown drawing was $15,273, so each jackpot winner received $5,091, before taxes. In total for the July 10 drawing, 17,250 winners shared $53,694 in prizes. In addition to the three jackpot winners, 75 winners matched four numbers to win an $83 prize; 1,878 winners matched three numbers to win a $9 prize; and 15,294 winners matched two numbers to win the $1 prize.

Michael Barton, an engineer for the United States Army from Macomb, is one of three lucky jackpot winners in the July 10 Rolldown drawing. The lucky 57-year-old said he plans to share his winnings with his wife and children.

"I went to the store to compare the winning numbers with those on my ticket," Barton said. "I always knew I would win someday!"

Barton purchased the winning Michigan Rolldown "easy pick" ticket at Glen’s Market #1509, 2206 S. M-76, in West Branch. He said he kept the winning ticket in his wallet at all times to ensure its safety before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Bridgeport.

Michael Parrett of Washington, who works for Ford Motor Company, was the second lucky winner in the July 10 Rolldown drawing. The lucky 51-year-old man said he was very happy when he learned the winning numbers reported in the newspaper matched the numbers on his ticket!

The winning Michigan Rolldown "easy pick" ticket was purchased at R&R Wine Shoppe,

5915 25 Mile Road, in Shelby Township. Parrett said he kept the winning ticket in a file cabinet at all times before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights. Though Parrett said he has no specific plans for his winnings at this time, there is no doubt he will enjoy his recent Lottery luck!

The third jackpot winner in the July 10 Rolldown drawing was Doris Jordan of Shelby Township. The lucky lady purchased the winning Michigan Rolldown "easy pick" ticket at Meijer #65, 15055 Hall Road, in Utica.

Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
