LANSING, July 2, 2002 – Heather Al-Saiegh of Brownstown was thrilled to learn she had won a $50,000 prize in the Michigan Lottery’s "Trucks and Bucks" instant game!
The lucky ticket was purchased at Farmer Jack #719, 200 S. Merriman Road, in Westland.
"When I scratched off the ticket, I was so excited I started yelling," Al-Saiegh said. "I could not believe what I was seeing was real!"
The 25-year-old winner, who works as a cashier at Cherry Hill Foods, said she enjoys golfing in her free time. She said she kept the winning ticket locked in her father’s safe deposit box before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights. She added that she plans to use her winnings to pay bills.
"Trucks and Bucks" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant games available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
