LANSING, July 1, 2002 – Beginner’s luck was recently with a lucky Lansing lady! Upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Quick Silver" instant game ticket, the 18-year-old revealed a $30,000 top prize!
The winning ticket was purchased at Speedway #2215, 711 S. Creyts Road, in Lansing.
The lucky winner, who requested anonymity, said she was very excited when she looked at the ticket and realized it was a $30,000 winner.
The winner said she brought the ticket in to the Lottery’s regional office in Lansing to claim her prize immediately after scratching it off.
The 18-year-old winner, who is a customer service representative for Arcadia, said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills, and added that she enjoys playing soccer in her free time.
