LANSING, March 13, 2002 – A lucky Southfield man won $17,000 after scratching a winning "Blazing Red 7s" instant game ticket from the Michigan Lottery!

The winning ticket was purchased at Smokers Hub #1, 4205 Highland Road, in Waterford.

"I was very happy to see I had won the top prize," the winner said.

The lucky 39-year-old, who requested anonymity, kept the winning ticket in his wallet before claiming his prize at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights. He added that he plans to use his winnings to pay bills.

"Blazing Red 7s" is just one of many instant games available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
