LANSING, March 11, 2002 – As the song says, "Frosty the Snowman was a jolly, happy soul"—and so is a New Baltimore woman who won a $15,000 top after scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Frosty’s Fortune" instant ticket!
The lucky "Frosty’s Fortune" ticket was purchased at Lakeville Market, 47174 Jefferson Ave., in Chesterfield Township.
The lucky 35-year-old, who works for a school, said she was surprised when she scratched off the numbers and realized she had a winning ticket.
"I was so surprised to win such a big prize by just scratching off a Lottery ticket," the winner said. "I just recently began playing the Lottery’s instant games and never thought I would win such a big prize!"
The winner kept the winning ticket on top of a cabinet in her house before claiming her prize at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights. She said she plans to share the wealth and spend the money on friends and family as well as herself.
"Frosty’s Fortune" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
