Flint Man Wins $21,498 Jackpot in March 6 Michigan Rolldown Drawing!

LANSING, March 8, 2002 – A Flint man was happy to learn he had matched all five numbers in the March 6 Michigan Rolldown drawing to win the $21,498 jackpot! The winning numbers for the March 6 drawing were: 17, 18, 25, 26 and 30.

The 59-year-old General Motors retiree, who requested anonymity, learned he held a jackpot-winning ticket after calling the store where it was purchased to request the winning numbers. The jackpot-winning "easy pick" ticket was purchased at Rite Aid Discount Pharmacy #4504, 2838 E. Court St., in Flint.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Bridgeport, the winner said he kept his ticket hidden in his home—but wasn’t worried about someone taking it, because he said he "has a big dog!" The lucky man, who enjoys hunting in his free time, added that he intends to use his windfall to pay bills, and may also take a vacation.

Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide. Also, effective March 4 through March 30, Michigan Rolldown players can once again take advantage of the "Bonus Play" promotion, which offers players who purchase a ticket with five wagers or more an "easy pick" ticket—absolutely free! Players who purchase a 10-panel ticket will receive two free "easy picks."
