James Levleit of Saline Stunned By $150,000 Michigan Lottery Big Game Win!

LANSING, August 25, 2000 — James Levleit of Saline said he could hardly believe his eyes when he looked at his Big Game ticket and saw he had matched the first five numbers in the August 22 drawing to win the $150,000 Big Game prize! That day’s winning numbers were: 6, 16, 18, 34, 41 and the Big Money Ball number was 2.

“I looked up the winning Big Game numbers on the Lottery’s Web site (www.state.mi.us/milottery),” Levleit said. “I was very happy and surprised to find out I had won a $150,000 prize!”

The retiree purchased the winning Big Game “easy pick” ticket at Washtenaw Milk & Ice Cream, 602 S. Ashley Street, in Ann Arbor.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, Levleit said he kept it in “a safe place.” The lucky man, who said he is “semi-retired” and enjoys golfing in his free time, plans to share part of his winnings with his children, but hasn’t yet decided what he will do with the rest of the money.

The Big Game is a multistate lottery game in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 6,400 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The next Big Game drawing is tonight, Friday, August 25 with an expected jackpot of $31 million.
