LANSING, August 7, 2000 — Darwin Shunk of Lansing recently hit a hole-in-one with the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game! The avid golfer purchased just one ticket for the August 1 Big Game drawing and matched the first five numbers to win the $150,000 prize. That day’s winning numbers were: 10, 13, 16, 25, 26 and the Big Money Ball number was 21.

“I looked up the winning numbers on the Lottery’s Web site (www.state.mi.us/milottery),” Shunk said. “When I saw the winning numbers I kept thinking, ‘Did I read this right?’ At first I wasn’t sure how much I had won, but as I looked through the Big Game information on the Web site I learned I had a $150,000 winning ticket! I was very surprised I had won such a big prize.”

The winning Big Game “easy pick” ticket was purchased at Dotties Place, 235 S. Grand Ave. — Grand Tower, in Lansing. Prior to turning the winning Big Game ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, the winner said he kept it with him at all times to ensure its safety. Shunk said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills and make charitable donations.
