Vicki Howes of St. Clair Shores Strikes It Rich With Lottery's "Life In The Cash Lane" Instant Game!

LANSING, June 29, 2000 — Vicki Howes of St. Clair Shores is living it up after scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Life In The Cash Lane" instant ticket to reveal she had won a $10,000 prize!

The 51-year-old winner purchased the lucky ticket at Moonlite Party Store, 33452 Harper Ave., in Clinton Township.

"I purchased the ticket at about 9 p.m. but didn’t end up scratching it off until much later that evening," Howes said. "I was thoroughly shocked when I saw what I had won!  I didn’t get any sleep that night."

When not bowling or collecting stained glass items, Howes said she enjoys playing Michigan Lottery games. She added that she has been playing Lottery games for the past 10 years and her favorites are, of course, the instant games!

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights, the machine operator at Stahls said she kept it in a "locked strong box" to ensure its safety. Howes said she plans to save part of her winnings and use the rest to pay bills.

"Life In The Cash Lane" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
