LANSING, June 28, 2000 — Life recently became a little sweeter for David Thomas of Dewar, Oklahoma after he scratched off a Michigan Lottery "Life In The Cash Lane" instant ticket to reveal he had won a $250,000 top prize!
"I was standing in the back of my pickup truck when I scratched the ticket off," Thomas said. "I thought I had won $25,000 at first. I showed it to a friend of mine and he told me I had actually won $250,000! I just said, ‘It can’t be!’"
The lucky 39-year-old winner said he has only been playing Michigan Lottery instant games for the past two weeks!
Thomas, a radiographer for Edwards Pipeline Services, purchased the winning "Life In The Cash Lane" ticket at 115 Truck Stop Inc., 14547 22
