LANSING, February 17, 2000 — The 15 members of the "Kennedy Industries Lottery Club" of Milford are celebrating in a big way after winning a top Michigan Lottery prize!
The "Kennedy Industries Lottery Club" matched the first five numbers drawn in the February 4 Big Game drawing, collecting the game’s $150,000 prize. That day’s winning numbers were: 26, 28, 37, 39, 44 and the Big Money Ball number was 15.
Club members, who work together at Kennedy Industries in Milford, include:

The club members range in age from 28 to 48 years of age and are a mixture of married and single individuals.
"A secretary in our office checked the winning numbers for us and then told my boss she thought the club had won $150,000," Cindy Woodard, the club’s representative, said. "My boss double-checked the numbers and then called each and every one of us to give us the good news! We all thought he was kidding at first. Once we figured out it was true we were all hysterical!"
The winning Big Game ticket "easy pick" ticket was purchased at Holden Party Store, 2055 S. Milford Road, in Milford. Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, the club locked it in a fire-proof file cabinet to ensure its safety.
The club members, who have been playing Michigan Lottery games together for approximately three years, have a variety of plans for their winnings, including paying bills, taking vacations, putting in a new driveway, paying for a daughter’s wedding and one club member is even planning a trip to Europe!
The Big Game is a multistate lottery game in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 6,400 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The next Big Game drawing is Friday, February 18, with an expected jackpot of $7 million.
