LANSING, January 18, 2000 — A 36-year-old Davison man, who requested anonymity, recently discovered what it feels like to have a truly lucky day after scratching off a Michigan Lottery "High Score" instant ticket worth $200,000!
"I scratched the ticket off while sitting in my truck in the store’s parking lot," the winner said. "When I first looked at the ticket I thought I had won $2,000. I immediately took the ticket back into the store and had the clerk check it for me. She said, ‘You won $200,000!’ I was so surprised that I started shaking."
When not hunting or fishing, the Davison man said he enjoys playing Lottery games. He added that he has been playing Michigan Lottery games for the past 18 years and his favorites are Michigan Lotto, The Big Game and, of course, instant games!
The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven 130B, 3518 Corunna Road, in Flint. Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, he said he kept it in a safe deposit box.
The lucky man said he doesn’t have any definite plans for his winnings yet. He said he "hasn’t even thought about it yet!"
"High Score" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
