LANSING, January 14, 2000 — The 19 members of the "Triple Threat" lottery club of Farmington Hills are celebrating in a big way after winning a top Michigan Lottery prize!
The "Triple Threat" lottery club matched the first five numbers drawn in the January 4 Big Game drawing, collecting the game’s $150,000 prize. That day’s winning numbers were: 11, 14, 27, 39, 42 and the Big Money Ball number was 33.

The club members range from 25 to 71 years of age and are a mixture of married and single individuals.
"One of the club members called the Lottery’s toll-free Lottery Link number (800-822-8888) the morning after the drawing to see if we had won anything," Morelly, the club’s representative said. "When she checked the numbers on our ticket she just about passed out! She immediately ran through the office to let everyone know we had won $150,000. We were all thrilled and very surprised!"
The winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket was purchased at CVS/Pharmacy #08143, 26020 W. 12 Mile Road, in Southfield. Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, the club locked it in a file cabinet to ensure its safety.
The club members, who have been playing Michigan Lottery games together for approximately four years, have a variety of plans for their winnings, including paying bills and taking vacations.
The Big Game is a multistate lottery game in Michigan , Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 6,400 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The next Big Game drawing is tonight (Friday), January 14, with an expected jackpot of $12 million.
