Fred Falk of Fort Gratiot Jumped For Joy After Winning Top Prize in Lottery's "Wild Time Doubler" Instant Game!

LANSING, August 20, 1999 — Fred Falk of Fort Gratiot said he was "ecstatic" when he scratched off a Michigan Lottery "Wild Time Doubler" instant ticket to reveal he had won $30,000 — the game’s top prize!

The 45-year-old winner purchased the lucky ticket at Interstate Plums, Inc., 2856 Pine Grove Ave., in Port Huron. Falk said he was home alone when he scratched off the ticket.

"I was going crazy," Falk said. "My wife wasn’t home so I had no one to tell that I had won! I then tried to call my mom and her line was busy, so I ended up telling my mother-in-law first."

The heating, ventilation and air conditioning worker at Ingell Refrigeration said he has been playing Michigan Lottery games for the past 10 years, and his favorites are the Daily 3 and 4 games.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights, Falk made a copy of the winning ticket and faxed it to his family members in Ohio! The avid outdoorsman, who enjoys fishing and hunting in his free time, plans to share his winnings with his children.

"Wild Time Doubler" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
