Lottery Players From Swartz Creek And Saginaw Win Big With Michigan Lottery Instant Games!

LANSING, July 2, 1999 – Paul Spaniola of Swartz Creek and Ronald Gulliver of Saginaw are now each a little richer, having recently claimed Michigan Lottery instant game prizes!

Spaniola, 86, scratched off a lucky "Casino Fortune" instant game ticket to reveal that he had won $10,000.  The Swartz Creek man has been playing a variety of Michigan Lottery games for the past 26 years.

The winning "Casino Fortune" ticket was purchased at Paul’s Pipe Shop, 647 S. Saginaw St., in Flint.

Gulliver, 44, went wild with excitement when he scratched off his "Wild Time" instant ticket finding that he had won the $30,000 top prize!

The Saginaw man purchased the winning ticket at Meijer Inc. #43, 3360 Tittabawassee Road, in Saginaw.

"I scratched the ticket off while on break at work," Gulliver said.  "I almost fainted when I saw that I had won $30,000!  I called my wife right away to give her the good news."

The retail clerk at Meijer said he has been playing Michigan Lottery games for the past 20 years, and he especially enjoys the Daily 3 and Daily 4 games and, of course, the instant tickets.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Bridgeport, Gulliver kept it in his wallet to ensure its safety.  The lucky man, who enjoys reading in his free time, plans to use his winnings to pay bills and buy new furniture.

"Casino Fortune" and "Wild Time" are just two of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
