Scott Bailey Of Burton Wins $150,000 Big Game Prize!

LANSING, April 14, 1999 – Scott Bailey of Burton is $150,000 richer after winning a top prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game!  Bailey matched the first five numbers in the April 6 drawing to win the $150,000 prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 12, 17, 22, 33, 44 and the Big Money Ball number was 25.

"I bought tickets with my co-workers and on my own for the huge jackpot drawing," Bailey said.  "On one of my own tickets I had matched five numbers.  I asked my brother how much you win for matching the first five numbers and he told me $150,000!  I said ‘I have five’ and he said ‘swear?’  I called my wife right away and we headed to Lansing to collect our winnings!"

The salesman at Hank Graff Chevrolet in Davison said he has been playing Michigan Lottery games for the past 20 years, and he especially enjoys The Big Game, Michigan Lotto and the Daily 3 game.

Bailey, 38, purchased the winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket at 1-Stop Food Store #23, 710 N. State Road, in Davison.  The lucky man said he plans to use part of his winnings to take his wife, Tracy, on a second honeymoon and invest the rest for their children’s college fund.

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.
