Michele Fisher Of Parma Wins $150,000 Big Game Prize!

LANSING, April 14, 1999 – Michele Fisher of Parma was in total disbelief when she recently realized she had won big money with the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game!  Fisher matched the first five numbers in the April 6 drawing to win the $150,000 prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 12, 17, 22, 33, 44 and the Big Money Ball number was 25.

"My husband looked the winning numbers up on the Lottery’s Web site," Fisher said.  "We checked those numbers against our tickets right away and we couldn’t believe our eyes!  I was so shocked and surprised to see that I had won that I started shaking!"

The avid sports fan said she has been playing Michigan Lottery games for many years, and she thoroughly enjoys the wide variety of games the Lottery offers.

Fisher, a tile contractor at Fisher Tile and Marble, purchased the winning Big Game ticket at Total Petroleum Inc. #4275, 3318 E. Michigan Ave., in Jackson.  Fisher said she chose the winning numbers based upon family members’ birthdays.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, Fisher said she kept the ticket "close to her heart" to ensure its safety.  The lucky lady already has big plans for her winnings including: taking her four children shopping, taking a "well-deserved" vacation to Cancun, investing in her family’s tile company and saving the rest!

Fisher offered the following words of wisdom for other Lottery hopefuls: "Just play it! If you have a feeling about certain numbers – play them!"

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.
