LANSING, April 2, 1999 – Atheer Hanna of Sterling Heights recently won big money with the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game!  Hanna matched the first five numbers in the March 30 drawing to win the $150,000 prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 4, 5, 27, 33, 41 and the Big Money Ball number was 9.

"I saw the winning numbers in the Detroit Free Press at a friend’s house and checked them against my ticket when I got home," Hanna said.

The Sterling Heights man said he has been playing The Big Game and Michigan Lotto for the past five years.  He purchased the winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket at Arbor Drugs #08014, 3815 15 Mile Road, in Sterling Heights.

The lucky winner said he doesn’t have any special plans for his winnings yet.  He said he "hasn’t had time to think about it yet!"

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.

The Big Game jackpot is currently at a record high!  No one matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing, and the expected jackpot for Friday, April 2, has skyrocketed to $160 million!
