LANSING, March 11, 1999 – Judith Muggelberg of China recently won big bucks on only the second Big Game ticket she had ever purchased in her life!  Muggelberg matched the first five numbers in the February 26 drawing to win the $150,000 prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 6, 26, 31, 44, 48 and the Big Money Ball number was 1.

"I bought the ticket completely by chance," Muggelberg said.  "I looked up the winning numbers on the Michigan Lottery’s Web site and discovered that I had matched five.  I never expected to win! It was truly an answered prayer!"

Muggelberg, who said she has been playing Michigan Lottery games sporadically for the past 15 years, said she enjoys The Big Game, Michigan Lotto and instant games the most.

The China woman, who enjoys going to the theatre, listening to music and reading in her free time, purchased the winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket at Big Boy Restaurant, 2555 Gratiot Blvd., in Marysville.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, Muggelberg said she placed it in her purse for safe keeping.  The lucky lady said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills and to help finance her son’s wedding.

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.
