LANSING, March 8, 1999 – Dave Conover of Rochester Hills recently won big bucks with the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game!  Conover matched the first five numbers in the March 2 drawing to win the $150,000 top prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 3, 31, 35, 42, 46 and the Big Money Ball number was 34.

"I saw the winning numbers in the Oakland Press the day after the drawing," Conover said.  "I was very surprised and thrilled to see that I had won!"

Conover, 49, said he has been playing Michigan Lottery games for the past five years.  He is particularly fond of The Big Game and the Michigan Lotto.

The avid golfer and outdoorsman purchased the winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket at Meijer, Inc. #57, 3175 Rochester Road, in Rochester Hills.  Conover said he plans to use his winnings to take his wife on a trip and he will invest the rest.

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.

The next Big Game drawing will be conducted Tuesday, March 9 – the expected jackpot is $32 million.
