Patricia Reese Of Burtchville Wins $14,000 In Lottery's "Cupid Cash" Instant Game!

LANSING, February 24, 1999 – Patricia Reese of Burtchville got something a lot better than candy or flowers for Valentine’s Day this year – she won the $14,000 top prize in the Michigan Lottery’s "Cupid Cash" instant game!

The 58-year-old winner purchased the winning ticket at D Brothers Party Store, 4556 24th Ave., in Fort Gratiot.

"All I could say was ‘Wow!’ when I scratched off the ticket," Reese said.  "It was a really big surprise that I won!"

The press operator at LDM Tech said she has been playing Michigan Lottery games for the past 20 years.  Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights, Reese placed the ticket in a steel box for safe keeping.  Reese said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills.

"Cupid Cash" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
