Dung Le Of Warren Wins $150,000 Big Game Prize!

LANSING, February 8, 1999 – Dung Le of Warren recently won big bucks with the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game!  Le matched the first five numbers in the February 2 drawing to win the $150,000 prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 6, 14, 23, 31, 33 and the Big Money Ball number was 13.

"I picked up a winning number printout from a store near my house," Le said.  "When I checked my ticket against the printout I was very surprised to see that I had won! I couldn’t believe it!"

Le, 28, said he has been playing The Big Game since the day it started.  He said he also enjoys playing other Michigan Lottery games, especially Michigan Lotto and the instant tickets.

The Warren man purchased the winning Big Game ticket at Jenuwines Sweet Shoppe, 472 W. 14 Mile Road, in Troy.  Jenuwines Sweet Shoppe is no stranger to top winning tickets, having sold a $250,000 Keno ticket in October of 1993!

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing, the avid fisherman placed it in his wallet for safe keeping.  Le said he doesn’t have any special plans for his winnings yet – he said he is "still thinking about it."

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.  The next Big Game drawing will be conducted Tuesday, February 9 – the expected jackpot is $7 million.
