Richard Urbanski Of Sylvania, Ohio Wins $150,000 Big Game Prize!

LANSING, February 5, 1999 – Richard Urbanski of Sylvania, Ohio recently won big money with the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game!  Urbanski matched the first five numbers in the February 2 drawing to win the $150,000 prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 6, 14, 23, 31, 33 and the Big Money Ball number was 13.

"I watched The Big Game drawing on WGN," Urbanski said.  "I checked my ticket right away and I couldn’t believe my eyes!  I was so surprised I had to look at it two or three times to make sure I really had the winning numbers!"

The retired carpenter for Enterprise Roofing said he has been playing Michigan Lottery games for the past 18 years, and he especially likes The Big Game, Michigan Lotto, Cash 5 and the instant tickets.

Urbanski, 67, purchased the winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket at Clips Carry Out, 6218 Old U.S. 223, in Ottawa Lake.  Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing, the winner kept the ticket in his pocket at all times.

The Sylvania, Ohio man said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills, make home renovations and possibly take a trip.

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.  The next Big Game drawing will be conducted tonight, February 5 – the expected jackpot is $5 million.
