LANSING, January 13, 1999 – Paul Nalazek of Davison recently hit the big time with the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game! Nalazek matched the first five numbers in the January 8 drawing to win the $150,000 prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 5, 21, 23, 26, 37 and the Big Money Ball number was 3.

"I checked the numbers after work," he said.  "I was very happy to see that I had won – ecstatic actually!  I couldn’t believe it!"

The Davison man said he has been playing the Michigan Lottery for the past 26 years, and he plays The Big Game, Lotto and Cash 5 regularly.  Nalazek purchased the winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket at Elies Corner, 1625 W. 3rd Ave., in Flint.  He said he doesn’t have any specific plans for his winnings at this time.

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.
