LANSING, January 7, 1999 – A Farmington Hills woman recently experienced a bit of Lottery luck when she won the $200,000 top prize in the Michigan Lottery’s "Lucky Dollars" instant game!
"I was at work when I scratched off the ticket," she said. "When I first looked at the prize amount I thought it wasn’t for real! I couldn’t believe I had won that much money!"
The 19-year-old winner, who requested anonymity, purchased the winning ticket at Mitch’s Food Market, 22040 Sibley Road, in Brownstown.
The Farmington Hills woman said she plans to use part of her winnings to purchase a house and is still thinking about what to do with the rest. For other Lottery hopefuls, the winner offered the following advice: "You have to keep playing to win!"
"Lucky Dollars" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
