Harold Stout Of Royal Oak Wins $150,000 Big Game Prize!

LANSING, November 16, 1998 –For Harold Stout of Royal Oak, the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game is the biggest game in town!  Stout matched the first five numbers in the November 10 Big Game drawing to win the $150,000 prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 3, 10, 17, 23, 35 and the Big Money Ball number was 23.

"I took the ticket into the store where I bought it to find out if it was a winner," Stout said.  "When I realized I had won $150,000 I was very surprised and couldn’t believe it!"

Stout purchased the winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket at Short Stop Food Store, 1104 S. Elms Road, in Flint.  The retiree said he plans to use his winnings to help send his grandchildren to college.

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.  The next Big Game drawing will be conducted on Tuesday, November 17 – the expected jackpot is $22 million.
