Carol Hubbard Of Flint Wins $150,000 Big Game Prize!

LANSING, November 16, 1998 – Carol Hubbard of Flint can now add one more item to the list of things she collects – winning Lottery tickets!  Hubbard matched the first five numbers in the November 10 Big Game drawing to win the $150,000 prize.  That day’s winning numbers were: 3, 10, 17, 23, 35 and the Big Money Ball number was 23.

"I saw the winning numbers on television," she said.  "When my son and I saw my numbers come up on the screen we both got very excited!"

Hubbard, 56, who has been playing the Lottery regularly for the past 20 years, purchased the winning Big Game ticket at Admiral Petroleum Company #31, 4006 Richfield Road, in Flint.

The retiree, and collector of teddy bears, Fenton Art glass and Coca-Cola items, said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills, make home repairs and visit her son in Virginia.

The Big Game is a six-state lottery game which held its first drawing in September 1996.  Lotteries in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia contribute to the joint prize pool.  Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.  The next Big Game drawing will be conducted on Tuesday, November 17 – the expected jackpot is $22 million.
