LANSING, October 5, 1998 – Krishna Yeluri of Bloomfield Hills is now $100,000 richer after winning the top prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Cash 5 game!

Yeluri, 44, matched all five numbers – 13, 25, 33, 36 and 37 – in the September 17 drawing.  The winning Cash 5 "easy pick" ticket was purchased at H & S Petro Inc., 3585 Dix Hwy., in Lincoln Park.

"I was very surprised after we checked the winning numbers," Yeluri said.  "I couldn’t believe I had won!  My family was very excited."

Prior to collecting her prize at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, Yeluri had her father hide the ticket in a safe place for her. She said she plans to put her winnings in the bank so she can later use them to pay for her children’s education.

Cash 5 drawings are conducted every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Odds to win the $100,000 prize are 1 in 575,757.  Tickets are available at more than 6,400 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
