Deadline Draws Near For Pontiac, Mich., Cash 5 Ticket; Winner Has Just One Week To Claim $100,000 Prize!

LANSING, August 25, 1998 – It’s time to shake out that junk drawer, rummage through an old wallet, check all those special hiding places.  There’s a $100,000 winning Cash 5 ticket buried away somewhere and the ticket holder has seven days to turn it in to Michigan Lottery officials!

The winning ticket matched all five numbers drawn in the September 1, 1997, Cash 5 drawing.  That day’s winning numbers were: 4, 12, 16, 35 and 38.

The ticket was purchased at:

Rite Aid Discount Pharmacy #4697, 3 S. Telegraph Road, Pontiac.

Winners have one year from the draw date to claim Michigan Lottery on-line prizes.  This ticket holder will have until the close of business Tuesday, September 1, 1998, to claim the prize.

Since the Michigan Lottery’s inception in 1972, the amount of unclaimed prizes that has been transferred to the state School Aid Fund totals more than $230 million.
