LANSING, July 23, 1998 – Marshall resident Debra DeWitt believes it’s just "good timing" that she has joined the ranks of Michigan Lottery top winners! She is the most recent Lottery player to uncover the $25,000 grand prize in the Lottery’s "Lucky Number Bingo" instant game!
"I never thought I would win like that," said DeWitt. "You just have to be in the right place at the right time!
"I was at home when I scratched off the ticket, and then I went to pick up my son from work right away. He couldn’t believe it either!" she said. "Then my mom and sister pulled out a magnifying glass to make sure we were all reading it correctly."
DeWitt, 45, has been a regular Michigan Lottery player for about three years. The Progressive Dynamics employee said she may possibly use her winnings to purchase a new car.
The winning "Lucky Number Bingo" ticket was purchased at Wacky Willy’s Party Time, 515 S. Kalamazoo Ave., in Marshall.
With an involved play area and odds of better than 1 in 4 to win a cash prize, "Lucky Number Bingo" is one of the many popular "bingo style" games offered by the Michigan Lottery. A variety of instant games are available at the more than 9,300 licensed Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
