LANSING, July 21, 1998 – A Montcalm County man is the latest lucky winner to find a $250,000 winning ticket in the Michigan Lottery’s "Break the Bank" instant game!
The Greenville resident, who requested anonymity, thought his eyes might have been playing tricks on him after uncovering the $250,000 prize.
"I scratched off my ticket and I wasn’t sure at first that I was reading it right," he said. "I called my brother and sister-in-law and they said they wouldn’t believe me, not until I showed them the ticket."
A regular Michigan Lottery player for more than 10 years, the 32-year-old winner said he would use his "Break the Bank" prize to assist him in moving back to Florida.
The winning "Break the Bank" ticket was purchased at Greenville E-Z Mart, 115 E. Washington St., in Greenville.
"Break the Bank" is the Lottery’s second $5 instant ticket ever introduced. The game offers three separate play areas and up to nine ways to win cash prizes which range from $5 all the way up to $250,000.
Michigan Lottery instant games are available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
