LANSING, March 20, 1998 – Just days after a $34 million Michigan Lotto ticket expired, the Michigan Lottery is looking for the winners of two $150,000 Big Game prizes – but time is running out!
Both winning tickets matched the first five numbers in the March 28, 1997 Big Game drawing. That day’s winning numbers were: 1, 43, 47, 48, 50, and the Big Money Ball number was 17. There were, in fact, five $150,000 winning Big Game tickets sold in Michigan for that drawing. Three players claimed their prizes, but two remain unclaimed.

Winners have one year from the draw date to claim Michigan Lottery prizes. Because the one-year anniversary of this Big Game drawing falls on a Saturday, the winners will have until the close of business Monday, March 30, 1998, to claim their prizes.
"With tax time approaching, it would be great to award these prizes to their rightful owners," said Michigan Lottery Commissioner Bill Martin. "We hate to have prizes of any size go unclaimed, and we’re hoping to hear from the winners any day now."
Since the Lottery’s inception in 1972, the amount of unclaimed prizes that has gone to the state School Aid Fund totals more than $230 million.
