LANSING, March 18, 1998 – A Lake Odessa man had luck on his side recently when he won the $30,000 top prize in the Michigan Lottery’s "Lucky Times Ten" instant game.
"I scratched off my ticket at work and then drove a scooter around, screaming and hollering," said the winner, who requested anonymity.
"I couldn’t believe it, so I asked five people if they thought my ticket was really a $30,000 winner," he said. "I called my wife to tell her the news and she thought I was joking!"
A regular Michigan Lottery player for 10 years, he said this $30,000 ticket is by far his largest prize to date.
The winning "Lucky Times Ten" instant ticket was purchased at Crystal Flash #30, 7051 Saddlebag Lake Road, in Lake Odessa.
"Lucky Times Ten" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant games available at more than 9,000 retailers statewide.
